Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Participate in SCO Summit Events

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, will pay a working visit to Astana on July 3-4 to participate in the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the "SCO Plus" meeting, reported the press service of the Uzbek leader.
The summit's agenda includes pressing issues of further developing multifaceted cooperation within the SCO framework and improving the organization's activities. Problems of international and regional interaction will also be addressed.
Following the meeting, the Astana Declaration and a package of documents aimed at expanding partnerships in areas such as the economy, security, ecology, energy, tourism, and many other fields are expected to be adopted.
As part of his visit, the leader of Uzbekistan will also hold a number of bilateral meetings with heads of foreign delegations.
