Trump Considers Military Scenario Against Cuba
World
The Donald Trump administration is revising its strategy toward Cuba, shifting from economic pressure tactics to rigid military scenarios. Disappointed by the lack of political and economic reforms in Havana, U.S. authorities have begun seriously considering the possibility of direct military intervention.
According to Western media, the current U.S. campaign, which includes an oil blockade and severe sanctions, has failed to yield the expected results. Consequently, Washington is discussing a wide range of military measures: from precision airstrikes aimed at intimidating the Cuban leadership to a full-scale ground invasion to radically change the regime. Special attention is being given to plans for the capture of General Raul Castro. The American command is developing various operational options, believing that peaceful levers of influence have exhausted their potential. Given the failure of attempts to force the Cuban leadership into a deal through pressure on Venezuela and Iran, the use of force is becoming an increasingly discussed tool of White House foreign policy.
