Trump Displeased by Netanyahu’s Criticism of F-35 Sale to Türkiye
Citing a White House source, Axios reported that Trump was upset after Netanyahu told Fox News he opposed providing fifth-generation F-35 aircraft to Türkiye. According to the source, Trump believes the Israeli prime minister should not interfere in U.S. decisions regarding defense cooperation.

Netanyahu has argued that supplying the aircraft to Türkiye could upset the balance of power in the Middle East. Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said after the NATO summit that Trump had expressed a positive attitude toward the possible delivery of F-35 jets to Türkiye.

Türkiye was removed from the F-35 program in 2019 following its purchase of Russia's S-400 air defense systems. Although Trump has indicated he is inclined to approve the sale, no final decision has yet been made.
