"Turkmenistan" Airline Cancels Flights to Russia Until March
The airline "Turkmenistan" extended the suspension of Ashgabat-Moscow flights until March without providing reasons. Previously, it was reported that the flights would be suspended until January 31 due to the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft.

According to TASS agency, "the last time 'Turkmenistan' airline suspended flights to Moscow was in August 2023, due to the situation in Moscow's airspace and to assess risks in order to ensure flight safety." This decision was made following reports from the Russian Ministry of Defense about intercepting an attack by a Ukrainian drone near Moscow.

Meanwhile, the "Interfax" agency noted that in January, the Russian airline S7 was granted approval by the Russian aviation authority Rosaviatsiya to operate up to 14 flights a week on the Moscow-Ashgabat route. Flights have been operating daily since January 15. Currently, S7 is the only airline operating regular flights between Russia and Turkmenistan.
