Unusual fraud scheme uncovered at a customs post

Officers at the "Sirgali" foreign economic activity customs post in Tashkent have uncovered an attempt to evade customs duties through illegal means. During the inspection, it was revealed that 11 types of imported automobile spare parts were, in fact, a complete cargo vehicle – a dump truck.

It was found that the cargo owner had dismantled the vehicle into parts and attempted to clear it through customs under the guise of spare parts. By doing so, he aimed to avoid paying customs duties amounting to 800 million Uzbek soums.

However, due to thorough customs inspections, the true nature of the cargo was exposed, and the illegal scheme was prevented. Currently, appropriate legal measures are being taken regarding this case.

Customs authorities urge citizens and entrepreneurs to conduct their activities legally and comply with customs regulations.
