In Washington, Saida Mirziyoyeva, Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan, held a strategic meeting with Ben Black, CEO of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). The negotiations have paved the way for the launch of a unique investment platform destined to fundamentally redefine the landscape for American business in the region.

The primary achievement of the meeting was the agreement that DFC will assist in attracting American investors to Uzbekistan and, crucially, will share investment risks with them. This move is expected to be a major catalyst for capital inflow, as U.S. government guarantees significantly lower entry barriers for major market players.

The parties discussed an extensive portfolio of current and future projects in detail. The culmination of this partnership in 2026 will be the launch of a joint investment platform. This tool will allow both nations to pool resources and expertise to implement high-tech and infrastructure initiatives.

The meeting confirmed that the economic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States is shifting from individual deals toward systematic institutional cooperation.
