According to US Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, the review identified about 400,000 registered voters who, according to the department's data, are deceased. He also said that approximately 250,000 non-citizens registered to vote were identified in four states, with an additional 28,000 similar cases found in other states participating in the review.

Earlier, President Donald Trump also stated that authorities had identified a significant number of non-US citizens listed in voter registration records. The reported figures reflect statements made by US officials regarding the ongoing review.

The next US elections are scheduled for 3 November, when voters will elect 33 senators, all 435 members of the House of Representatives, as well as members of legislative bodies in a number of states.
