US Vice President calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza

US Vice President Kamala Harris calls for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and more humanitarian aid.
"Let’s get a ceasefire. Let’s reunite the hostages with their families. And let’s provide immediate relief to the people of Gaza," the Vice President said.
Harris also called on the Israeli government to increase humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip.
Recall, the armed conflict between Israel and Hamas began with the attack of the Palestinian movement on the territory of Israel on 7 October 2023. As a result, 1.2 thousand Israelis were killed, 5.4 thousand were wounded, more than 200 Israelis and foreigners were taken hostage. Israel launched a counter-offensive that killed more than 30,000 Palestinians and injured more than 71,000.
