At the World Youth Shooting Championship in South Korea, Uzbek athletes won two silver medals in the 50m pistol shooting program.

The youth team of Uzbekistan won two silver medals at the World Shooting Championship, which was held from July 14 to 25 in the South Korean city of Changwon. This was reported by the press service of the National Olympic Committee.

It is noted that Uzbek athletes won two prizes in the 50-meter pistol shooting program among youth. In the individual program, Veniamin Nikitin took second place, and in the team program, Muhammad Kamalov, Ilhombek Obidzhanov and Veniamin Nikitin took second place.

"In the team event, Uzbekistan took 15th place. The top three included the teams of China (12 gold, 9 silver and 7 bronze), India (6-6-5) and Ukraine (5-3-2). Kazakhstan took 4th place (4-4-2)," the report says.

More than 550 shooters from 44 countries of the world took part in the championship.

Last year, at the World Youth Championship in Egypt, the Uzbek team won a silver medal in the team program. This year, the shooters have updated their result by adding a medal to the national team and in the individual program.
