Uzbek Citizens May Travel to China Visa-Free Starting This Spring

From April 2025, a visa-free regime between Uzbekistan and China is expected to come into effect, significantly simplifying travel and business trips. This development is anticipated to sharply increase passenger traffic between the two countries.
According to Shukhrat Yadgarov, Deputy Chairman for Commerce and Tourism at Uzbekistan Airways, the visa-free regime will allow Uzbek citizens to stay in China without a visa for up to 30 days. In connection with this, the airline is launching new flights:
Tashkent — Shenzhen to promote tourism and business;
Fergana — Urumqi to strengthen cross-border ties.
The agreement, signed at the end of last year, opens new opportunities for cooperation and exchange between the two nations.
