Uzbek information systems targeted by more than 32,000 cyber attacks

According to the cyber security incident response service UzCERT, 32,156 cyber attacks on information systems and resources were recorded in Uzbekistan from 5 to 11 February.
The largest number of attacks were directed against government information systems, accounting for 52.7 per cent of the total. The remaining attacks were against information systems in information and communication technologies (19.3%), the financial sector (14.2%), energy (4.3%) and manufacturing (3.9%).
Earlier it was reported that earlier this year social networks spread information about an alleged hacker attack on the website of the Interior Ministry at iiv.uz. However, the Interior Ministry's press service denied this information and provided a link to the ministry's official page on the government portal gov.uz.
