Uzbekistan and Austria reach agreements on practical co-operation in the energy sector

A business dialogue between the Uzbek delegation headed by Energy Minister Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov and a number of Austrian companies in the energy sector was held in Vienna to discuss prospects of cooperation, Uzbek Foreign Ministry's news agency Dunyo reported.
This dialogue was organized on the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Vienna and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance.
The event was addressed by Andreas Reichardt, Federal Deputy Minister of Finance of Austria, Matthias Radosztics, Ambassador of Austria to Uzbekistan, Dieter Hampel, Managing Director of aed – Agency for Economic Cooperation and Development, Tino Terraneo, Executive Director of the High Technology Corporation, Manfred Kudrna, Advisor to the Mining and Metallurgical Association, ANDRITZ HYDRO, AFRY, heads of ILF Group, HOT Engineering, DENK GRÜN Recycling, Mosdorfer and ASMAG.
Following the business dialogue, a memorandum was signed between the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan and the Federal Ministry of Finance of Austria on deepening cooperation, which provides for the establishment of a joint working group.
