Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Discuss Digital Development Cooperation in Astana

A delegation from Uzbekistan's Ministry of Digital Technologies participated in the "Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Digital Inclusion and Transformation" held on September 2-3 in Astana. The event was organized by the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

During the conference, Uzbekistan's Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov met with Kazakhstan's Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry J. Madiyev. The meeting focused on the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the digital sector, including discussions on enhancing digital skills and regional collaboration on digital transformation.

The parties also discussed regional cooperation plans necessary for accelerating digital innovations, with a special emphasis on ensuring digital inclusivity and strengthening ties in this area.

Additionally, the expansion of cooperation in the space sector, including the joint launch of artificial satellites, and the need for analytical studies on this issue by the end of the year were also on the agenda.

This meeting is seen as a significant step toward elevating cooperation between the two countries in the fields of digital development and innovation to a new level.
