President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met at the "Akorda" residence, confirming their commitment to further strengthening strategic partnership and alliance relations.

The heads of state discussed pressing issues of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, emphasized the historic significance of this state visit, aimed at elevating strategic partnership and alliance relations to a new level.

To advance relations between the two countries, the first meeting of the High Interstate Council was held. Prior to this, the Intergovernmental Commission meeting, a business forum, and several cultural events were successfully conducted. A strategic partnership and alliance program until 2034 has been prepared, and a council under the leadership of foreign ministers was established.

In recent years, trade turnover between the countries has doubled, the number of joint ventures has increased fivefold, and freight volumes have grown. During the visit, it was instructed to develop a program to increase trade turnover to $10 billion.
