President Mirziyoyev and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim participated in the Uzbekistan-Malaysia Business Forum in Kuala Lumpur, where they discussed the prospects of strategic partnership. As a result, a number of agreements on trade, industrial cooperation, and innovative technologies were signed.

Within the framework of the official visit to Malaysia, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim participated in a joint business forum, which brought together more than 200 representatives of leading companies and financial institutions of the two countries. During the event, key areas of cooperation were identified, including the development of the electronics industry, gas chemistry, pharmaceuticals, construction, and agriculture.

The parties agreed to significantly increase trade turnover, develop an agreement on preferential trade, and hold a series of business exhibitions. In addition, it is planned to create a special economic zone in the Tashkent region under the management of a Malaysian company. President Mirziyoyev emphasized that Uzbekistan's goal is to bring relations with Malaysia to the level of strategic partnership. The next business forum is proposed to be held in Uzbekistan this autumn.
