On June 27, 2024, the leadership of Uzbekiston Temir Yullari held talks with representatives of Pakistan's National Logistics Corporation (NLC) to discuss cooperation in transportation, logistics, and transit trade.

The main topic was the organisation of multimodal rail transport from Pakistan through Uzbekistan to the CIS countries. Pakistan expressed interest, particularly for the transport of agricultural products. The Uzbek side proposed using refrigerated waggons and offered favourable conditions.

Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed, aiming to expand cooperation in logistics and increase freight transport.

The meeting was led by the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC Uzbekiston Temir Yullari, H. Rakhmetov. Also in attendance were the General Director of JSC Temiryulkargo A. Muminov, Deputy General Director of JSC Uztemiryulkonteyner Kh. Adilov, Deputy General Director of JSC Uzbekjeldorexpeditsiya S. Salimov, and other officials. The Pakistani delegation included NLC Chairman Farrukh Shahzad Rao, Project Brigadier Muhammad Yusuf, and specialist Shaib Hakvani.
