Uzbekistan and Russia Leaders Hold Phone Conversation

On December 11, Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Russia President Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation, discussing urgent issues related to the further development and strengthening of Uzbekistan-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance relations.
During the conversation, the leaders thoroughly examined the implementation of agreements reached during the state visit of the Russian President to Uzbekistan in May this year, based on the "roadmap" approved by the leaders.
Additionally, the outcomes of the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation held in Moscow on December 10, as well as the results of bilateral negotiations, were highly appreciated.
The importance of taking coordinated measures to ensure the growth of mutual trade, accelerate cooperation projects in industries such as energy, transport, agriculture, and other sectors, and continue active communication at the regional and business organization levels between Uzbekistan and Russia was emphasized.
Issues on the international agenda, as well as preparations for high-level meetings scheduled for the end of December this year, were also discussed in terms of multilateral cooperation in regional organizations.
In addition, the expansion of cooperation in the fields of innovation, artificial intelligence, education, and healthcare was noted with satisfaction. It was also mentioned that events held in Russia in November within the framework of Uzbekistan Culture Days were successful. This was reported by the Dunyo News Agency.
