Uzbekistan and Türkiye: Practical Steps Towards New Heights in Economic Cooperation

On June 5, on the eve of the official visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan to Türkiye, Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov, along with the Uzbek delegation, participated in several events in Ankara as part of the third meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council between Uzbekistan and Türkiye.
In particular, during the Uzbek-Turkish Business Forum, negotiations were held with leaders of major Turkish companies such as Onur Group, IC Ictas Insaat, YDA Group, Rönesans Holding, Ostim, Doğan Holding, Aksa Energy, Çalık Holding, Akfen Holding, Yildiz Group, and others.
Agreements were reached on projects in agriculture, healthcare, textiles, geology, electrical engineering, pharmaceuticals, leather and footwear manufacturing, construction, and energy.
Kudratov also participated in the plenary session of the Forum, where more than 100 representatives of the business communities, ministry heads, department officials, and industry associations of both countries had the opportunity to thoroughly examine the current state and prospects for the development of economic cooperation. They discussed solutions to pressing issues, practical aspects of partnership in B2B and G2B formats, and established new valuable connections.
On the sidelines of the Forum, a signing ceremony took place for investment agreements and trade contracts, and delegations from both countries visited the "Invest in Uzbekistan" exhibition organized at the building of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB).
The efforts in Uzbekistan to improve the investment climate and create favourable conditions for investors were highly appreciated by both new companies and longstanding partners of Uzbekistan, demonstrating readiness for further development of investment and trade cooperation with Uzbek partners.
