Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their strategic partnership, expanding political dialogue, and deepening practical cooperation. The talks concluded with the signing of new bilateral agreements and the endorsement of further steps to implement the agreements reached at the highest level.

During his official visit to Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov was received by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The Uzbek Foreign Minister conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the President of Turkmenistan.

The parties noted with satisfaction the steady progress in bilateral relations, highlighting the dynamic development of political dialogue, intergovernmental cooperation, and growing trade and economic ties between the two countries.

As part of the visit, Bakhtiyor Saidov also held talks with Turkmenistan's Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov. The discussions focused on implementing the agreements reached by the two presidents and expanding cooperation in trade, transport and logistics, energy, cultural and humanitarian exchanges, and cross-border cooperation. The sides also coordinated their positions on key regional and international issues.

The visit concluded with another round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries. Participants emphasized that this mechanism remains an important platform for maintaining regular dialogue and preparing new joint initiatives.

Following the talks, the parties signed several bilateral documents, including an Agreement on Cooperation in International Information Security and a Cooperation Program between the Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan for 2027–2028. The new agreements are expected to strengthen institutional political dialogue, expand practical cooperation, and enhance regional security.
