Uzbekistan Announces Tender for Construction of New Bukhara Airport

Uzbekistan has announced a tender for the construction and operation of a new airport complex in Bukhara. The project involves the development of modern infrastructure on the Kumsulton site in the Bukhara district, according to Uzbekistan Airports.
Under the project terms, a private investor will be required to build a passenger terminal with a capacity of up to 1,200 passengers per hour, along with a fuel supply complex, catering facilities, parking areas, and cargo platforms.
At the same time, the airfield infrastructure will remain under state control, while the private partner will be responsible for constructing and operating the passenger terminal and related infrastructure.
The project is expected to modernize the region’s aviation infrastructure and increase passenger traffic through Bukhara, one of the country’s key tourism destinations.
