Uzbekistan expands cooperation in triathlon

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on May 26 with the head of the World Triathlon Union, Antonio Fernandez Arimani, who arrived in the country for the Triathlon and Paratriathlon World Cup in Samarkand. The expansion of practical cooperation was discussed.
During the negotiations, the progress of the tournament and steps for the participation of the national team were considered. Issues of expanding cooperation with the World Triathlon Union, including support for sports infrastructure and human resources, were considered.
Special attention was paid to the joint implementation of programs in the field of training athletes, coaches, referees, and sports managers, as well as the creation of modern sports infrastructure.
Deepening cooperation with the World Triathlon Union is expected to further popularize this sport in the country and strengthen Uzbekistan's international reputation as a host of major sporting events.
