Uzbekistan implements the project of production of electrical engineering products in Azerbaijan

Representatives of electrical industry enterprises, led by Chairman of the Uzeltechsanoat Association Mirziyod Yunusov, visited the Republic of Azerbaijan and held negotiations with Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli. This was reported by the press service of "Uzeltexanoat" association.
At the meeting, it was noted with satisfaction that friendly meetings between the heads of state of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan and contacts between representatives of the business community have intensified in the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries.
During the state visit of the head of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan on August 22-23, 2023, memorandums of cooperation in the field of electrical industry were signed. According to this memorandum, the Republic of Azerbaijan plans to implement a project for the production of household appliances and aluminium radiator heaters.
At the meeting, attention was paid to the implementation of the tasks specified in this document. During the discussion, the Uzbek side provided representatives of Azerbaijan with information on the parameters and technical and economic indicators related to the projects.
According to the press-service of the "Uzeltexanoat" association, As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to implement these projects, locate them in special industrial zones, provide benefits, and make changes to legislation. It was also noted at the meetings that a bilateral roadmap will be developed to speed up the implementation of projects. Based on this roadmap, it was agreed that the projects would be implemented in stages.
