At a press conference held at the Uzbekistan Agency for Information and Mass Communications, details were provided about the quality control of building materials. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Construction and Communal Services of Uzbekistan.

Leaders of the Ministry of Construction and Communal Services, representatives from the "O‘zsanoatqurilishmaterillari" Association, and the Agency for Technical Regulation were present at the conference.

It is reported that in 2024, the production of building materials is expected to reach a total value of 37.9 trillion sums (an increase of 111.0%).

Additionally, there are plans to implement 540 projects totalling 2.2 billion US dollars in 2024. There are also plans to export building materials valued at 1.1 billion US dollars.

In the first quarter of 2024, exports amounted to 152.9 million US dollars. Specifically, exported building materials included PVC profiles and pipes valued at 17.5 million US dollars, aluminium profiles worth 8.2 million US dollars, ceramic tiles and products worth 12.2 million US dollars, dry building mixes and cement binders valued at 9.6 million US dollars, and wallpapers worth 16.3 million US dollars.

During this period, the export geography of building materials expanded to include countries such as Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Canada, and Romania, in addition to traditional markets such as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan.

Fifty enterprises producing building materials and part of the "O‘zsanoatqurilishmaterillari" Association have implemented the ISO 9001 quality management system.
