Uzbekistan is preparing for visa-free travel with the US
Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan will propose to the US to ease the visa regime for its citizens, as well as introduce new benefits for tourists from neighboring countries.
According to the decree of the President of Uzbekistan, aimed at developing tourism in 2025-2026, the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs must begin negotiations with the American side within three months to ease visa requirements for Uzbek citizens. At the same time, it is planned to introduce a visa-free regime for up to 30 days for US citizens entering the republic.
Also, innovations are being prepared for citizens of Russia, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan: they will be allowed to enter Uzbekistan for up to 30 days using ID cards or children's passports ("kinder passport"), including children under 16.
These measures are aimed at increasing the country's tourist attractiveness and expanding international exchange.
