The GDP based on purchasing power parity in Uzbekistan amounted to 285 billion USD, according to the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It is reported that the results of the global round of the 2021 program were published on the official website of the World Bank on May 31, 2024. Uzbekistan officially participated for the first time in the "International Comparison Program" conducted by the World Bank.

According to the results of the purchasing power parity program in 2021 in Uzbekistan:

– the GDP amounted to 285 billion USD;

– the GDP per capita was 8,162 USD.

It is noted that these calculations by the World Bank were based on statistical data collected by the Statistics Agency.

Parity represents a kind of conversion factor that eliminates differences in price levels between countries during their recalculation. That is, purchasing power parity of currencies serves as both a deflator and a tool for converting monetary units into a comparable currency.
