Uzbekistan's automotive industry is growing year by year, with domestic production volumes steadily increasing. According to the results of January 2025, major car manufacturers in the country produced 15,611 passenger vehicles.

According to preliminary data from the Statistics Agency, the distribution of vehicles produced in January by model is as follows:

Cobalt – 5,660 units;

Damas – 2,765 units;

Kia – 1,978 units;

Onix – 1,462 units;

Tracker – 1,334 units;

BYD – 802 units;

Chery – 594 units;

Haval – 373 units;

Special passenger vehicles – 643 units.

Car production in Uzbekistan is not only crucial for the domestic market but also plays a significant role in export potential. Cobalt and Damas remain the most popular models. However, imported brands such as Kia, BYD, Chery, and Haval are also actively entering the local market.

Last year, the top three countries exporting the most passenger cars to Uzbekistan were China, South Korea, and the United States. This once again highlights the importance of international cooperation in the automotive industry.
