Uzbekistan ranks first in Central Asia in terms of mobile internet affordability, holding the 43rd position out of 179 in the international ranking, which considers the proportion of communication expenses and average salary in the country. This was reported by the Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov, citing data from Broadband Genie.
In Uzbekistan, where the average salary is $364, residents spend only $4.36, or 1.2% of their salary, on 10 GB of mobile internet.
The top of this ranking includes countries such as Singapore, Luxembourg, Israel, Iceland, and the United Kingdom, while the bottom includes Guinea, Zambia, Côte d'Ivoire, Syria, and Papua New Guinea.
