Uzbekistan Sees a Surge in Tourist Arrivals by 16.8%
Uzbekistan
In the first nine months of 2024, Uzbekistan welcomed over 5.7 million foreign tourists. This marks a 16.8% increase compared to the same period last year.
The highest number of visitors came from Tajikistan (1.67 million), Kyrgyzstan (1.65 million), and Kazakhstan (1.13 million), followed by Russia, Turkmenistan, and Turkey.
The growth in tourist arrivals is attributed to Uzbekistan’s ongoing reforms in the tourism sector and improved infrastructure for international visitors.
