The leaders were briefed on the construction of the university complex and plans for the development of the educational infrastructure and campus.

The campus is being built in two phases on a 40-hectare site. It will include academic buildings for 20,000 students and dormitories for 5,000 students.

The first phase included the construction of a five-story academic building with 12,000 beds and a modern laboratory complex.

The presidents toured the campus's educational and research environment, information resource center, and museum exhibition dedicated to the legacy of Nizami Ganjavi.

The museum presents the life and work of the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi, his rich spiritual legacy, and the centuries-old cultural and literary ties between the Uzbek and Azerbaijani peoples.

The heads of state emphasized that ties in education, science, and culture are crucial for further rapprochement between the two fraternal peoples and nurturing the younger generation in the spirit of shared spiritual values.
