Uzbekistan strengthens cooperation with EAEU

Uzbekistan continues to actively cooperate with the Eurasian Economic Union. A meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council was held in Almaty, where important decisions were made for the economic integration of the countries of the region.
On January 31, the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council was held in Almaty, which was attended by the heads of governments of the EAEU countries, as well as the delegation of Uzbekistan headed by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov.
Uzbekistan acted as an observer, continuing to expand practical cooperation with the EAEU. As part of the meeting, Abdulla Aripov emphasized the importance of the initiatives of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, proposed at the EAEU summit in December 2024, and called for their implementation.
During the discussions, important documents were approved, including:
Financing joint projects in the agro-industrial complex.
Implementation of the decisions of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
EAEU Economic Development Programs.
Agreement on cross-border placement and circulation of securities.
Uzbekistan continues to actively cooperate with the Union, implementing the approved three-year joint work plan with the Eurasian Economic Commission. The new agreements open up prospects for deepening economic ties, expanding markets and strengthening Uzbekistan's position in the region.
