Uzbekistan-Tajikistan Trade Volume Hits $756.8 Million in 2023

In 2023, the volume of trade between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan amounted to 756.8 million. This was reported by the press service of the Centre for Economic Research and Reforms of Uzbekistan.

It is noted that the volume of export was $605.0 million, and the volume of import was $151.8 million.
In 2023, the basis of Uzbekistan's export to Tajikistan was industrial products, chemical products, fuel, lubricating oils and similar products, food products, machinery and equipment, non-food raw materials, and services.
Earlier we reported that the governments of the countries have set a task to increase trade turnover to $2 billion, including through active substitution of imports from third countries. A solid portfolio of contracts and agreements signed during the business forum held on 17 April contributes to the achievement of this goal.
