On May 8 and 9, the premiere of the documentary film "Uzbekistan. The Path to Victory" dedicated to the contribution of the Uzbek people to the Victory in World War II.

The film, created in collaboration with the Islamic Civilization Center of Uzbekistan and Russia's "Divi" film company, tells about the heroism, solidarity, and humanism of the Uzbek people. The plot centers on the story of those evacuated during the war, foster families, including the legendary Shomahmudov family, which took in 15 children of different nationalities.

Filming took place in Tashkent - at the Shomahmudov Memorial, in Victory Park, and in Memory and Honor Square. The project involves actors and historians from Uzbekistan, Russia, and Europe, including Rustam Sagdullayev.

May 8, 18:15 (Tashkent time) - "Russia-Culture" TV channel
May 9, 16:20 - "Sevimli" TV channel (in Uzbek)

The film consists of 5 episodes of 5 minutes and reveals the most important humanitarian episodes of the Second World War - from the reception of evacuees to the restoration of Tashkent after the 1966 earthquake.
