Uzbekistan to expand cooperation with Huawei, BYD and ZTE companies

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangdong Province Huang Kunming in Shenzhen on 25 January. The press service of the President informed about it.
The meeting focused on practical aspects of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with the province, primarily in high-tech industries. The President noted with satisfaction the fruitful talks with President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping the previous day, in the framework of which further expansion of interregional contacts was supported.
Particular attention has been paid to the issues of deepening industrial cooperation, including through the establishment of specialised high-tech parks for leading Guangdong companies in the regions of our country.
It was emphasised that Uzbekistan is interested in boosting interaction with flagship companies such as Huawei, BYD, ZTE and others located in the province.
With a view to boosting humanitarian ties and business exchanges, the sides considered issues of cooperation in IT-education and launching direct flights.
