A ceremony was held for the launch of three renewable energy projects by "ACWA Power" in Uzbekistan, according to Saudi Arabia's electronic publication "Swift News."

"The opening ceremony of three renewable energy projects by the 'ACWA Power' company in Uzbekistan was held under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Saudi Arabia's Minister of Energy, Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, participated online," the report said.

In his speech, Energy Minister Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz emphasized the growing bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in the energy sector.

It was noted that the economic cooperation between the two friendly nations, including the "Uzbekistan-2030" strategy and the "Saudi Vision 2030" program, shares aligned goals.

"The Chairman of the Saudi-Uzbekistan Business Council and Chairman of the Board of Directors of 'ACWA Power,' Muhammad Abunayyan, highlighted the importance of the company's achievements in Uzbekistan during his speech at the event."

Since the establishment of cooperation between "ACWA Power" and the government of Uzbekistan, four major projects with a total value of nearly 3 billion dollars have been implemented. The current project portfolio is estimated to be worth 15 billion dollars.

In recent years, Saudi Arabia's investments in Uzbekistan's energy sector have significantly increased, which, in turn, contributes to improving the well-being of the population.
