During the visit, the head of the Russian military department will meet with the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov, and other representatives of the country's military-political leadership. The main topics of discussion will include ensuring stability in the Central Asian region and developing bilateral military and military-technical cooperation.

Special attention is being given to strengthening security amid global challenges. Political analysts note that such meetings highlight a significant strengthening of the strategic partnership between Russia and Uzbekistan.

It should be noted that the cooperation between the two countries spans not only the military but also the economic sector. In 2024, Russia became the leader in remittances to Uzbekistan, with a total of $11.5 billion.
