The sixteenth summit of the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) will be held in Tashkent on November 8-9 under the chairmanship of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This was reported by the press service of the President.
It is reported that the heads of state and government of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Turkey are expected to participate in the event.
"In accordance with the agenda, the issues of further expansion of trade-economic, investment, transport-communication and humanitarian cooperation within the framework of the ECO, as well as improving the activities of this multilateral structure will be considered," the press service said.
As part of the summit programme, the Uzbek leader will hold a number of bilateral meetings.
