Uranium production in Uzbekistan is planned to increase three times by 2030. “In general, by 2030, copper production will increase by 3.5 times, gold by 1.5 times, silver by 3 times, uranium by 3 times,” said presidential candidate Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Earlier, we reported that yesterday, on June 21, presidential candidate from UzLiDeP Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with voters in the Navoi region as part of the election campaign. The candidate spoke about the plans for the development of the industrial sector for the next seven years, and also disclosed forecasts for the volume of production in Uzbekistan by 2030:

“Due to the implementation of 11 projects worth $550 million at Navoiuran, uranium reserves will be increased from 67,000 tons to 100,000 tons. In general, by 2030, copper production will increase by 3.5 times, gold - by 1.5 times, silver - by 3 times, uranium - by 3 times," the candidate said.

He added that the production of lithium and graphite will be launched in Uzbekistan. Lithium will be produced in the Tashkent region. It is planned to produce 8 thousand tons annually. Graphite will be produced in Bukhara - 50 thousand tons.

It is worth noting that Uzbekistan is one of the five countries where the most uranium is mined worldwide.
