Uzbekistan’s Armed Forces Introduce Esports, Drone and Robotics Competitions
A presidential resolution titled “On measures to develop esports, drone technologies and robotics in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan” (No. PP-75, dated March 3, 2026) has been adopted.

The document предусматривает the organization of regular competitions among military personnel in modern technological disciplines. The tournaments will be held in three areas:

esports;

drone technologies;

robotics.

The competition system will consist of three stages. The first stage, the “Unit Commander’s Cup,” will be held annually in August within ministries and departments.

Winners will advance to the second stage — the “Military District Commander’s Cup,” scheduled for October.

The final stage, the “Minister of Defense Cup,” will take place each December and determine the strongest teams.

The resolution also introduces financial incentives for winners. Members of the winning teams will receive:

10 million soums each at the first stage;

30 million soums each at the second stage;

50 million soums each at the final stage.

Teams will also be awarded official trophies.

The Ministry of Defense has been designated as the coordinating body responsible for organizing and conducting the competitions. A unified electronic registry will also be introduced to track military personnel participating in the tournaments and those selected through the competitions.
