“We are allies with Russia, strategic partnership continues in all areas” - Shavkat Mirziyoyev
On October 6 of this year, as part of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Russian Federation, a meeting was held with President Vladimir Putin.

During the negotiations, the presidents noted that relations between our countries are developing very successfully, and this confirms the high level and nature of relations between Uzbekistan and Russia as allies.

“Our relationship has reached a completely new level. We are allies, a comprehensive strategic partnership continues in all areas. There is progress and real results. Everything we agree on is being fulfilled,” the President of Uzbekistan said during the negotiations.

“I would like to thank you for your personal participation in the development of Russian-Uzbek relations. This development has good dynamics, in all directions. We probably need to start with the economy: last year our trade turnover grew by 26 percent, and in the first six months, seven months of this year, it was already 14.4 percent.

Russia confidently ranks first in Uzbekistan’s trade turnover with foreign countries. Three thousand companies with Russian participation operate in Uzbekistan, 700 Uzbek companies operate in Russia.” - Vladimir Putin noted.

“We actively interact in the international arena, primarily on such platforms as the UN, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and, of course, the CIS. We'll see you again soon at the CIS summit in Kyrgyzstan.” - added V. Putin.
