Here are some of the legislative changes set to come into force in Uzbekistan as of November 1, 2024.
The "From Poverty to Prosperity" program will be implemented, encouraging citizens to take responsibility for their own future and that of their children.
Licensing of commodity exchanges will be permitted.
Individuals will be allowed to take finished silver jewelry weighing up to 200 grams, as well as gold and other precious metals weighing up to 65 grams, out of Uzbekistan without completing a customs declaration.
Electricity will be cut off for those who have not paid for waste collection for three months.
New energy efficiency categories, labeled "A," "B," "C," "D," "E," "F," and "G," will be introduced for buildings and structures with a usable area exceeding 200 square meters.
The costs of vocational training, retraining, and skills development for women in challenging social situations will be covered by the state employment assistance fund.
A registry of high-risk factors to life and health will be introduced and maintained in an open format for public access.
50% of the costs for adapting buses for the needs of people with disabilities, up to 30 times the base calculation amount, will be covered by the state social protection fund.
10% of fines collected for violations identified by ministries and agencies through the State Space Monitoring program will be directed to the extra-budgetary development fund for the space industry within the Agency for Space Research and Technology.
