World Cup 2026 Sets Record for Ticket Demand
FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced unprecedented interest in the 2026 World Cup. According to him, more than 150 million ticket requests for group-stage matches were submitted during the first 15 days of the presale period.

This translates into an average of around 10 million requests per day from fans worldwide. The highest demand came from the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

The 2026 World Cup will be the first in history to be hosted by three countries — the United States, Mexico, and Canada. It will also be the largest tournament ever, featuring 48 national teams.

The reigning world champion is Argentina, which won the title at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
