Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to visit Dushanbe in July 2024, which will strengthen bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.

This was reported by the press centre of the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan following a meeting between Minister Daler Juma and Zu Leiming, director of the Yellow River Conservancy Commission of the Ministry of Water Resources.

The report states that Xi Jinping's visit will enhance cooperation in the water and energy sector.

The meeting was held at the 3rd High-Level International Conference on International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development", 2018-2028 in Dushanbe from 10 to 13 June 2024, where Zu Leiming participated.

It is worth noting that among the representatives of Central Asian states and many other countries, M. Kadirkhanova, a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and Chairperson of the Committee on Women and Gender Equality, took part in the event as part of the Uzbek delegation.
