“Yangi O‘zbekiston” housing estate under construction in Sharaf-Rashidov district of Jizzakh region

The site of the housing estate under construction used to be an empty area. Now there is active construction on the area of 140 hectares. The project envisages the construction of 105 multi-storey houses for 3,936 flats in three stages. The houses will have 9, 12 and 16 floors, which is also a novelty for Jizzakh.

Currently, 4 multi-storey houses with 204 flats, a central boiler house, a showroom and internal roads have been built within the first phase. It is planned to build 16 more houses, a school, a pre-school educational institution and a shopping centre. "Inno texno park" will help in employment of the population.

The second phase is planned for 2026, the third - for 2028. In addition to houses, a neighbourhood centre, a polyclinic, a mosque, a hotel, children's and sports grounds, and a "New Uzbekistan" park will be built. Trees will be planted on the territory of the massif and alleys will be created.

The President gave instructions to build additional houses beyond the plan for the current year and to provide the population with the opportunity to purchase housing on favourable mortgages. The importance of accelerating the construction of infrastructure, schools, kindergartens, and the development of trade and services, including the creation of catering outlets along the roads, was emphasised.
