Zaynilobiddin Nizomiddinov has been appointed governor
Previously, he headed the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan (2018-2022), and until recently, he held the position of First Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the country. Recall that in June 2022, he left the presidential administration due to health reasons, but a month later returned to work in a new capacity.

Nizomiddinov's candidacy was proposed by the khokim of Tashkent region Zoyir Mirzayev and supported by the deputies. The previous khokim, Shukhrat Dustbekov, was dismissed from his post due to mistakes and shortcomings in his work.

Speaking at the session, Zoyir Mirzayev emphasized that Bekobod district today ranks last in the region in several key indicators - in particular, in terms of the level of development of the service sector, attracting investments, and receiving funds to the budget. The new governor has to urgently rectify the situation.
