Both documents were returned with the President's signature. The proposed bills were adopted by the Rada on 6 February.

The introduction of martial law and general mobilisation in Ukraine took place on 24 February 2022. This is the tenth extension of the relevant decision. The continuous extension of martial law led to the cancellation of the parliamentary election scheduled for late October last year. According to the Ukrainian Constitution, it is prohibited to organise voting during martial law. The new extension also makes it impossible to hold the presidential election in spring.
