Zelensky Ready to Reconsider His Position on Negotiations with Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is open to dialogue with Russia and seeking a peaceful resolution to the conflict, reports Bloomberg, citing sources close to the president and Western leaders.
However, Zelensky continues to insist on the complete withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukrainian territory. At the same time, Ukrainian officials suggest that Kyiv is willing to consider the possibility of ending the war and adopting a more flexible approach. One source noted that the "victory plan" proposed by Zelensky in September did not receive support in Washington, and Western allies are increasing pressure on Kyiv to present a more concrete scenario.
The situation on the front, financial difficulties, and the upcoming elections in the U.S. are prompting Ukraine's allies to consider the possibility of a peaceful resolution to the conflict through negotiations, Bloomberg notes.
In June, Russian President Vladimir Putin presented his plan to end the conflict, which involves the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from all annexed regions, including Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson, recognition by Kyiv of the loss of control over these territories, Ukraine's refusal to join NATO, the establishment of a non-nuclear status for the country, and the lifting of Western sanctions on Russia.
Kyiv immediately rejected this plan, calling it unacceptable.
