112 kg of drugs seized in Uzbekistan in two days

Over two days, officers of the State Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan conducted special operational activities against drug traffickers, during which more than 112 kg of prohibited substances, large sums of cash, and an arsenal of weapons were seized.
The State Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan conducted 653 operational activities on February 3-4 aimed at combating drug trafficking. As a result of the special operation, 112.26 kg of narcotic drugs, including heroin, opium, hashish, and synthetic substances, and 8,601 units of psychotropic drugs were seized.
Additionally, law enforcement officers confiscated money from drug sales: $287,46 thousand and 569 million soums. Also, 175 knives, 58 clubs, 24 kastets, and 77 weapons were found among the perpetrators.
The special services are continuing operational measures to combat drug trafficking and organized crime.
