21 Uzbek Children Left Without Parents Returned from Russia

In cooperation with the embassies of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan, 21 children—citizens of Uzbekistan who were left without parental care—have been repatriated. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to Resolution No. 6 of the Cabinet of Ministers dated January 7, 2020, "On improving the procedure for repatriating children—citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan—who have been deprived of parental care abroad," working groups consisting of specialists from the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Offense Prevention Service, and the Ministry of Health facilitated the return of 21 children to Uzbekistan on March 29 of this year in collaboration with the Uzbek embassies in Russia and Kazakhstan.

All the returned children received medical, psychological, and social assistance. 18 children were placed in the Social and Legal Assistance Center for Minors under the Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs, while three were sent to the State Children's Home in Tashkent.
