Tesla's first restaurant opened in Los Angeles
World
Tesla has opened its first-ever restaurant in Los Angeles. The futuristic diner features 80 charging stations, a drive-in theater, and a humanoid robot serving popcorn. Elon Musk plans to expand the concept worldwide.
Tesla has launched its first branded restaurant, Tesla Diner, in the West Hollywood area of Los Angeles. The two-story venue operates 24/7 and can accommodate over 250 guests.
The menu includes classic fast food items such as burgers, tacos, and popcorn. What sets the diner apart is its futuristic experience: there are 80 EV chargers on site and a drive-in cinema with two massive 20-meter screens.
Visitors are served popcorn by Optimus, Tesla’s humanoid robot, and drivers of Tesla vehicles can place orders directly from their car using the onboard infotainment system.
Elon Musk stated that the goal is to create a fun and inclusive dining experience for everyone — not just Tesla owners. If successful, the diner concept will expand to other major cities around the world and at Supercharger stations along highways. One of the next locations could be in Texas, near the SpaceX launch site.
The idea of a Tesla-themed restaurant was first discussed in 2018, and in 2021 Tesla filed for a trademark to use its brand for food services.
