40 billion worth of powder: Uzbekistan blocked a narcotics channel
In the Andijan region, customs officers, together with colleagues from the "Dustlik" checkpoint, detained three citizens who were constantly engaged in the smuggling of commercial goods. This time, they were drawn into drug trafficking and attempted to smuggle 3 packages of "Ariel" laundry detergent across the border, which contained a potent psychotropic substance - pregabalin.

On the same day, another person was detained in the Ohangaron district of the Tashkent region while transporting 9 packages of powder with a total weight of 27 kg, also containing a prohibited substance.

Officers discovered that all the "powder" was being sent to the Uchtepa district of the capital, where a drug laboratory was to be established in a rented apartment. During the search, another 20 kg of powder was seized from the apartment, which also contained pregabalin.

As a result of the special operation, 56 kg of powder was seized, of which 45 kg turned out to be pure pregabalin, the value of which is estimated at 40 billion soums on the black market.
